Our Story
On April 4th, 2020, as the world teetered on the edge of lockdown, we finally met in person after months of flirty online banter. It was a time of uncertainty, but one thing was immediately clear—this was going to be interesting.
Charlotte, nerves in overdrive, walked into Ryan’s apartment and made a beeline for the wine. Meanwhile, Ryan—who had flown in at 4 PM and generously offered his place for a date at 5 PM—was still praying his last-minute clean-up job would hold up under scrutiny.
By 6 PM, the nerves were gone, the wine was flowing, and it felt like we’d known each other forever. And from that night on, we were inseparable—thanks to undeniable chemistry and the small fact that we legally weren’t allowed to see anyone else.
“
The moment she burst through my door and went straight to the wine glass cabinet, I knew it was forever.

The Proposal
On an unusually sunny winter Saturday (a rare miracle in itself), we found ourselves under the Brooklyn Bridge, gazing out at Manhattan. And just like a scene from a rom-com - minus the dramatic background music - Ryan got down on one knee, and Charlotte said yes.
From there, we embarked on a whirlwind celebration across the US, visiting friends, toasting to our future, and possibly consuming our body weight in celebratory cocktails. Once we returned home, we had a thought: why stop the celebrations?
So, here we are, keeping the party going… all the way to our wedding!
“
After two days of knowing each other, Ryan joined our ‘lockdown Airbnb’ that we had organised with close friends for the month of April. We had such a lovely time (and I hadn’t gotten sick of him yet), so I just knew he was the one.
